The TCM Series Double-Stage Cone-Type Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump from VOLM is engineered to deliver high performance, operational stability, and cavitation-free operation. Unlike traditional flat-disc liquid ring pumps such as 2BE or 2BV, the cone-type structure offers significant advantages in flow behavior, mechanical balance, and hydraulic efficiency.

A primary structural difference lies in the arrangement of the suction and discharge ports:

  • Flat-disc pumps: Suction and discharge ports are located on the end face (top inlet, top discharge).    

  •  Cone-type pumps: The suction port is positioned on the upper section of the cone, while the discharge port is located laterally (top inlet, side discharge).

This structural layout forms a smoother internal flow path, reduces flow resistance, and enhances energy efficiency.
